Christmas is a time for giving, and at PHMG that’s no different. This festive period, our two flagship fundraising events presented the perfect opportunity for our staff across the globe to unite in support of our chosen charities – and proved to be a huge success.
Every year, PHMG staff put on their running shoes to take part in the Global Santa Dash – and 2017’s was our biggest to date. On the 2nd and 3rd of December, more than 200 employees in Manchester, Chicago, Boston, New York, Dallas, Toronto and London pulled on their red and white Santa suits and ran… jogged… and walked the most festive 5k – accompanied by reindeer, dressed-up dogs and a whole host of cheery faces. At the end of the run, each participant earned their medal, and it was congratulations they justly deserved. We raised an incredible £8,016/$10,020 in aid of charities including Christies and the American Cancer Society. Both of these organisations are held very close to our hearts, and we were thrilled to be able to give so much back and help them continue their valuable work.
Legs still tired from the dash, our time for giving was not yet over – and PHMG Foundation partnered with the Salvation Army to host the Global Toy Appeal. An international event, this drive makes sure children and teenagers in need have a present to open on Christmas day – bringing joy to families all over the world. As you can see from the photo, PHMG’s response was overwhelming, and our receptions in Manchester and Chicago were filled to the brim with new toys. Thanks to our work, they’ll be even more smiling faces on Christmas morning.
These two events marked the end of an incredibly successful year for the PHMG Foundation. We’ve made a real difference to the 18 different worthy causes we’ve chosen to support – but the year isn’t finished yet. We still need to meet our £50,000 target for it to be doubled by the company, allowing us to donate an incredible £100,000.
